Healing Appalachia celebrates National Recovery Month by bringing people together through the transformative power of music. The event has enabled the nonprofit Hope in the Hills to raise and distribute nearly $1 million to support opioid recovery, prevention, and wellness initiatives across Appalachia and beyond.

In addition to music therapy programs in recovery houses, hospitals, and festivals, Healing Appalachia supports various efforts, including outdoor camps for trauma-impacted children, harm reduction initiatives, recovery houses, shelters, and

reentry and recovery-to-work programs.
